Amanda Glover                      Preschool Assistant

After working in local government for 15 years, Amanda resigned from her position as Director of Economic Development of Augusta County to become a full-time, stay-at-home mom.  She also founded Sapience, LLC in an effort to stay involved in public and private business development efforts on a very part-time basis.  With her son in his third year at Covenant Preschool and now in the Pre-K class, Amanda joined the staff as Preschool Assistant.  Amanda is a passionate and extroverted mother who thrives on planning and problem solving in a collaborative environment.  She delights in hands-on, project/play-based, early childhood education and is fascinated by child development.  While she is from a multi-generation family of educators, Amanda never thought she would be called to work in a school environment but says that life is surprising and this is the right fit for right now!  Amanda is a lifelong resident of the Shenandoah Valley and has lived in Staunton since 2008.  She enjoys cooking and baking, camping, outdoor adventures, and traveling to new places with her husband and son.  She holds a B.S. in Economics from Virginia Tech, a Master’s Certificate in Local Government Management also from Virginia Tech, and is a graduate of the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia.
