If I had a hammer, I’d join Covenant’s Summer 2017 Appalachia Service Project team!

Who: Willing individuals (ages 14+)

What: A week of home repair work, doing whatever your skill level will allow (or whatever you are willing to learn): roofing, insulation, porch building, drywall, painting, digging, etc.

When: July 2 – 8, 2017

Where: Jonesville, Virginia (in Lee County, near the Kentucky border). This is one of ASP’s year-round centers. It has bunk beds, hot showers, air conditioning, a basketball court and a front porch with rocking chairs.

Why: To respond to God’s call for us to be servants. To make homes warmer, safer and drier for the people of Lee County.

How: Block off this week in your summer calendar!
Contact Amy Diduch at adiduch@marybaldwin.edu to sign up before October 31, 2016.
To confirm your commitment, write a check for $50 (payable to Covenant, with ASP in the memo line) so we can send our first payment to ASP (due Nov. 1). HURRY! Space is limited (we’ve reserved 21 spots) and we must make the November 1 payment deadline.

We anticipate the total cost per person will be $180 (including this initial $50), with a maximum expense of $425 per family, but this is subject to change. Please do not let the expense be a deterrent: scholarship money is available. Fundraising is also an option. Please note: once paid, fees are non-refundable.
