Kiaya Copeland                          Extended Day Assistant

Kiaya Copeland is a senior at Mary Baldwin University majoring in Health Science with a minor in Public Health. Her resume includes teaching experience with 8th graders, mentor, teaching assistant, and African-American Program Coordinator. Kiaya’s future aspirations are to become an obstetrician, alongside primary education. Her hometown is Altanta, GA where her family still resides. Some of Kiaya’s hobbies include journaling, online shopping, and reading. Her interests include taking long walks, composing poetry, and community service. Her favorite color is purple, and her favorite drink is coffee from Starbucks. Among her favorites books is her all-time favorite the “Harry Potter” series (this is also her favorite movie collection). Kiaya is the found of a non-profit organization “Bee You to the Fullest,” which highlights beauty being skin deep rather than materialistic. She has conducted more than 2 bookbag drives with transcending middle and high schools, providing over 100+ school supplies. Kiaya’s favorite animal her 14 year old tea-cup yorkie gained his wings in October 2023. Kiaya is excited to joining the team at Covenant’s preschool!
